UT Named One of Top Universities
The University of Texas has been ranked high on multiple lists for top colleges in the country, as well as in the world. UT is also recognized as a best value for higher education.
The University of Texas ranked number 26th out of the top 100 schools in the world according to the 2013 report from The Center for World University Rankings. For in the U.S., the Longhorns placed 7th for public universities.
According to the 2014 Fiske Guide to Colleges, UT was also listed as one of the "Best Buys in Higher Education," though no specific rankings were released in that report. This list included 21 public universities and 20 private colleges across the country, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom.
Rankings were rated from faculty publications, graduate employment and patents, as well as other factors.
