Texas Predicted to Have Strong Job Growth in Next Quarter
Texas is predicted to have strong job growth in the next Quarter, according to the Manpower Job Outlook Survey released earlier this month. This survey polled over 18,000 employers from across the nation. Its results found that over twenty-one percent of polled employers in the state of Texas plan to increase jobs in the next three months.
This is a two percent increase over the national rate of 19 percent that answered the same in the survey. This is also an increase in the state of Texas from the previous year. In 2013, the survey polled that 15 percent of Texas businesses that responded would increase hiring.
According to the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas has already had a strong increase in job rates for 2014 thus far. Over 30,000 nonfarm jobs were added this past January. Sectors with strong expected growth in jobs include education, mining, health care, retail and hospitality industries.
