Local Burger Chain to Expand Out of Austin
P. Terry's Burger Stand has taken Austin by storm being a local fan favorite. The ever-popular burger joint has grown to 14 locations across Austin since it started in 2005. That number will increase to 15 in early summer, as a location opens north of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the Austin American-Statesmen reports.
As if 15 stores in 13 years isn't enough, P. Terry plans to open a 16th store just shy out Austin, in San Marcos, TX. The 5,763-foot restaurant will be open by the end of the year including two drive-thrus and an inside eatery. The location, on the site of a vacant Kobe Steakhouse that needs to be demolished. San Marcos is home to Texas State University and is expected to be a great home for the new location.
P. Terry is one to watch as we expect further growth to come from this chain. Terry's Tex-Mex concept, Taco Ranch has seen success since it's grand opening in January. So much so that a second location is already underway close to University of Texas campus. Keep your eye peeled, this local favorite is on the come up.
