Economist Predict Austin's Economic Boom to Continue Through 2014
Local economist Angelos Angelou predicts that Austin's economic boom will continue on through 2014. Last year, Austin welcomed over 65,000 new residents and created over 26,000 new employment opportunities. Over 1,200 new businesses were founded. Angelou expects that these trends will continue over the next few years with over 28,000 new jobs projected for 2013. Much of Austin's growth is being contributed to the Austin real estate, tech and entertainment industries as well as to unique entrepreneurship opportunities.
