Cain Realty Group Helps Austin Food Bank with Keller Williams Food Drive

The team at Cain Realty Group with Keller Williams Realty is proud to announce they helped Austin Keller Williams raise approximately 18,000 pounds of food over the weekend for the Capital Area Food Bank. This food drive is an annual event that Keller Williams has participated in for the past 20 years.

The annual Keller Williams food drive has helped make one of the largest collections in Austin with over 300,000 pounds of food donated over the last 2 decades. This past Saturday, October 19th, Cain Realty Group went door to door to collect donated food items from generous Southwest Austin families. Donations were then delivered to the Riverbend Church in Austin, and crated into large boxes and transported via semi-truck to the food bank. Agents, teams and staff from both the North Austin and Southwest Austin Market Centers participated in the event.

During the food drive, Cain Realty Group also participated in a Keller Williams Market Center Chili Cook-Off. Executive Assistant Maranda Creamer placed runner-up in the KW Chili Cook-Off with her amazing cornbread chili pie recipe featuring bison chili topped with a sweet cornbread crust. This was Maranda's first entry into a chili cook-off contest, so she was very pleased to place among such other great Keller Williams contestants.

The whole team at Cain Realty Group was honored to participate in this year’s food drive. Cain Realty Group was blessed with collecting approximately 50-60 bags of food donated from Travis Country residents and delivering it to the food bank.

More information is available online at http://www.austinfoodbank.org/ if you would like to make a monetary or goods donation to the Capital Area Food Bank. Items most needed by the Capital Area Food Bank include canned meats & stews, tuna fish, peanut butter, baby food, cereal, formula, soups, vegetables & fruits, fruit & vegetables juices, and dry milk.
