Austin is the perfect place to host a music festival. Austin City Limits (ACL) happens every year in October. It has been going on since 2002 in the heart of Zilker Park. The weather is typically not too hot and sunny, making it the perfect place to take your shoes off and listen to some awesome bands.
South By Southwest (SXSW) is great because it mixes film, tech, business, AND music. Austin is probably one of few cities that sees spring breakers even though it’s a land locked city. SXSW isn’t in one place. In fact, the bars are the main host of the performances. Over the past few years there have been performances on 6th street all the way to the rooftop of some iconic buildings.
