Austin Recognized as Friendliest City in US for Small Businesses
Austin ranked the Number 1 Friendliest City for Small Businesses in a new report released by San Francisco based company Thumbtack.com and Kansas City based Kaufman Foundation. Data was collected in nationwide survey of over 8,000 business owners.
Factors that contributed to Austin's top spot include ease of starting up a business, hiring regulations, as well as training and network programs. Other categories include in the report were employment health and safety, zoning, and tax code.
Many other Texas cities made the cut for the top 10 spots, including Houston ranking No 3, San Antonio at No 5, and Dallas-Ft. Worth rounding out at the No 7 spot.
