Austin Ranked No 1 City for Young Entrepreneurs

Austin Ranked No 1 City for Young EntrepreneursAustin earned the top spot for large cities for young entrepreneurs, according to a new list published by Under30CEO.

Cities across the country were analyzed, and those that made the cut must have populations over 500,000 to be considered. Cities were ranked on categories including local resources, atmosphere, and overall appeal to the 20-something generation.

A major factor contributing to Austin's top spot in the large city ranking was the low cost of living compared to other booming cities in the country. Other factors that bring young talent to the area include the multitude of educated and vibrant graduates the steadily flow each year from the University of Texas, as well as innovative entrepreneurship centered on festivals like SXSW.

Other top cities that made the list include New York City, Nashville and San Francisco.
