Austin Ranked #2 On American Growth Project's Fastest-Growing U.S. Cities List

As we recover from the effect of the pandemic, economists analyze the market and advise government and business leaders to solve economic problems and issues.  Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise launched an American Growth Project and according to them, “Our goal is for these measures and related content to support the decisions of business practitioners and policymakers by providing insights on localized drivers of growth, such as skill areas where can make high-return investments can be made in education and training.”  

Based on their study, Austin ranked #2 on American Growth Project's Fastest-Growing U.S. Cities List, with a GDP (gross domestic product) of 4.30%.  The median home value in Austin increased from $349,156 in August 2020 to $566,479 in August 2022.  Experts compared the 50 most populous cities by the rate of economic growth, trends, and other sectors to get the top ten fastest-growing cities.
