Austin Ranked #2 for Best Cities for Veterans to Live

Returning to civilian life is challenging for those who have served in the armed forces, securing employment, health care, and shelter. According to the Veterans Association, “there are over 18.5 million veterans currently living in the U.S.,” and veteran homelessness is one of the problems.   

Austin ranked #2 in Best Cities for Veterans to Live with a total score of 69.01 based on employment, income growth, quality of life, and health. Wallethub compared the 100 most populated U.S. cities across 20 essential livability, affordability, and veteran-friendliness indicators.
