Austin Places 5th In 2022 Best Cities For Jobs Study


The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics stated in the most recent jobs report that the national unemployment rate in 2021 is 4.2%, compared to 14.7% in 2020. And according to experts, the employment situation in job markets was quite recovering in 2021 caused by the pandemic.  

Wallethub released the result of their recent study 2022’s Best Cities for Jobs, and Austin was on the 5th spot with a total score of 63.60. Compared the 180 U.S. cities across 31 key job market strength indicators, from job opportunities to employment growth and monthly average starting salary. 

Prediction for the job market in 2022, looking for a new and better job opportunity will be a top resolution to lessen the unemployment rate. The national Association of Colleges and Employers disclosed that they’re expecting to see employers hire 26.6% more new graduates for the class of 2022.
