Austin continues to have a substantial population and long-standing status as a relocation destination of choice because of the Silicon Valley businesses, vibrant cultural offerings, tech sector job growth, the most prominent companies (Tesla, Oracle, and Google), colleges, and universities. 

Crowdstreet, the largest online real estate investing platform, shared their annual Top20 Best Places to Invest report for 2022 and ranked Austin as #1 in the overall best market for commercial real estate investment across multiple asset classes such as build-to-rent, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and life sciences, up from #2 last year.  Crowdstreet weighted factors like population growth, employment base, economic diversification, education, climate, and quality of life.
