Austin Named Top City in U.S. for Valentine's Dinner Date

With Valentine's Day around the corner, many procrastinators may be scrambling to set plans for this coming Friday. Good news for those in the Capital City, as Austin has been named one of the top cities in the U.S. for a Valentine's dinner date, according to real estate website Trulia.

Austin made it into the top 10 list of great cities for Valentine's Day dining. Trulia used factors such as the density of restaurants and bars within cities across the country, and then also included elements of romance such as "how exciting, romantic, delicious and interesting the bars scenes are."  

Austin was given credit for the numerous live music venues that populate the city of a variety of entertainment options any night of the week, as well as the town's eclectic and diverse population which lends to the overall vibe of the city. From BBQ joints to gourmet food trucks, eccentric boutiques and coffee shops, Austin contains a host of options for date night. Trulia recommends that couples check out Jo's Coffee on South Congress for part of Valentine's Day date to check out the I Love You graffiti mural on the side of the building.
