Austin Landed in 11th Spot for 2022’s Best Large Cities to Start a Business

Owning a business is the American dream fulfillment.  Having the freedom to start and pursue their passion symbolizes financial success and independence.  But starting a business is not easy, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, these past years have been one of the most challenging times for business owners.  

This year, Wallethub compared 100 U.S. cities with the relative startup opportunities using 20 key metrics, ranging from the five-year business survival rate to the percentage of vaccinated residents to office-space affordability.  Austin got a total score of 56.55 in access to resources, business environment, and cost, and the city made it to the 11th Spot.
