Austin is No. 7 on ranking of the Most Popular Moving Destinations in the U.S

With such a diverse culture and community it is no mystery why Austin, Tx is the 7th most #popular city to move to in the United States. Who can blame them, right? New United Van Lines study shows Americans continue to leave Northeastern cities for West, Pacific Northwest.

Many cities that are experiencing growth are located in the West and Pacific Northwest. The Southern regions are also seeing exponential growth, including high volumes of moves to cities such as Dallas, Atlanta, and Charlotte.

Based on United’s summer moving volume data, the most popular metro areas for U.S. families to move to this peak season were:

1. Seattle, Washington
2. Dallas, Texas
3. Portland, Oregon
4. Denver, Colorado
5. San Francisco, California
6. Atlanta, Georgia
7. Austin, Texas
8. Las Vegas, Nevada
9. Charlotte, North Carolina
10. Orlando, Florida

Austin is growing each day and this #AustinAccolade is right on the money! United Van Lines will conduct another study with all of 2017's data on moves made in the United States. This study will be released January 2018.
