Austin Bergstrom Rated as one of the Best Airports in the U.S. and Canada

Austin Bergstrom Airport pretty pleasant, per BloombergTravel-happy residents of Austin can take some added pride in their city now that Austin-Bergstrom International has been deemed one of the least-frustrating airports in the U.S and Canada. Bloomberg, a major global provider of 24-hour financial news and information, recently published “The Airport Frustration Index,” which is a list of the country’s airports that ranks on how frustrating it is to utilizing each one. The capital city airport fared well and ranked highly for features that made for a pleasant airport experience.

Bloomberg surveyed more than 3,000 frequent flyers, analyzed travel times to and from airports and compiled on-time departure and arrival data to develop the list. Overall, Austin-Bergstrom International ranked as the #3 least frustrating airport to service. ABIA scored very highly for the “Time at the Terminal” assessment, with their out-of-10 ratings of 8.1 for security, 8.3 for restrooms and 7.2 for the shopping options. It scored the lowest on Departure times, with a 76% on-time rate out of 100.
